Advocacy Academy Opening Workshop
March 11 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
The MNA Advocacy Academy is a 6-month professional development program focused on giving nurses and healthcare professionals the tools to be effective legislative advocates. Most of the work is done virtually and on your own time. No experience is necessary, and this program is open to anyone who wants to build their knowledge and skills!
The program begins on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 with an in-person workshop at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, with special guest state Rep. Felicia Brabec. It will be followed by online workshops, on-your-own activities, and attending MNA Capitol Action Day in Lansing on May 3rd, 2023.
Graduates of the Advocacy Academy will receive a framed state of Michigan seal and recognition at the 2023 MNA House of Delegates in Kalamazoo.
Advocacy Academy is for MNA members only and there is no cost. RNs not represented by MNA can join as associate members for $75.
